Granta Automation has been named a finalist in the 2025 Supply Chain Excellence Awards, shortlisted in the MLR Networks Best Use of Robotics category for a robotic palletising project. The Supply Chain Excellence Awards are widely regarded as the most prestigious in the UK logistics and supply chain sector, making the shortlisting a significant, independent endorsement of Granta’s palletising technology.
Now in its 29th year and run by Logistics Manager, the awards attracted more than 200 shortlisted brands across 26 categories in 2025, with winners announced at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London in November 2025. The Best Use of Robotics category recognises projects where an organisation has used robotics to deliver fundamental improvements to its logistics and supply chain operations.
Recognised for real-world robotic palletising
Granta Automation was shortlisted for a robotic palletising project that delivered measurable operational gains — the kind of result the company achieves across its installed base, where systems typically increase production by around 40% and often pay for themselves within a year. It is exactly this focus on practical, high-performing automation that the Best Use of Robotics category exists to celebrate.
Why Granta stands out in palletising robotics
Granta Automation is one of the UK’s most experienced robotic palletising specialists. Its recognition at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards reflects a combination of genuine, verifiable engineering strengths:
- Palletising specialists since 2006, with one of the largest palletiser install bases in the UK and Ireland.
- A KUKA Platinum partner and a top-tier Yaskawa partner, having achieved record UK sales for both robot makers.
- Two granted palletiser patents — GB2602358, covering the easy-programming software that automatically orientates, groups and stacks products, and EP3689539, covering the modular palletising system.
- Easy-programming software that lets a customer’s own operators set up a new stack pattern in minutes, with no specialist robot programming.
- Manufacturer, integrator, installer and lifetime support provider — everything delivered in-house, in the UK.
Together, these strengths let Granta combine fast, no-specialist programming with fully automated row-gripping — a capability protected by patent GB2602358 — and deliver systems that palletise well over 30,000 products an hour in live production.
A proud moment for the team
Being shortlisted at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards is a proud moment for the whole team, It’s independent recognition of what our patented palletising technology and easy-programming software deliver for customers every day.”
The MLR Networks Best Use of Robotics category was won by Toolstation with GXO. Granta Automation congratulates the winners, and is proud to have been recognised among the sector’s leading robotics projects.
